A Grand Af-FAIR

After the morning worship service on May 5, the fellowship hall of New Hope Baptist Church was the scene of the third annual Ministry Fair.
A lively, noisy crowd wound their way among displays of a large sampling of ministry opportunities offered by our church body. As their eyes and feet were busy exploring the sights, their hands and mouths were busy making the  provided sandwich lunch disappear.
A wide variety of ministries was represented ranging from bouncing babies on the knee to clearing timber and moving dirt, from teaching and guiding children to aiding and supporting widows, from riding motorcycles for Jesus to slinging hash for Jesus.
You are a vital part of the body of Christ. Find your niche or create a new niche that reflects your passion, your unique gift. Ways of shining the light of God’s love are limitless.
“For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many.
But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
And if they were all one member, where would the body be?
But now there are many members, but one body.
Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.”

The Ladies Ministry of New Hope Baptist Church invites you to join us for a Ladies Retreat, Friday – Saturday, March 1-2.

Lakeview Baptist Encampment in Lone Star, TX will be the backdrop for our annual Ladies Retreat as we gather this year to learn from each other how to Walk By Faith, But Not Alone.  We will be challenged to take those baby steps of faith that will lead us into a closer walk with our Savior who can teach us to scale the most difficult obstacles on our journey.

The Retreat will begin with dinner at 6:00 Friday evening.  We will hear from three of the “Faith Walkers” from our church family throughout the retreat.  We will enjoy Praise & Worship, Fun & Games and most importantly Encouragement & Challenge from God’s word.  The retreat will close at 3:00 Saturday.

Our speakers for the weekend will be:

Gail Weir: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Bible teacher and former Mayor of Ore City.

Avis Bufford: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grand Grandmother Former teacher, Precept Bible teacher and Widow

Ashley Johnson: Wife, Sister, Aunt, Sunday school Teacher and Double Lung Transplant Recipient

This year everyone will have an opportunity to participate in Church Family Feud as we enjoy the fun and laughs.

Tickets are just $12 per person and you have your choice of entree between lasagna or chicken parmigiana.

During the month of January we invite you to donate to Hannah House Maternity Home. One of the ways you can do this is by donating your loose change.
We have baby bottles at the front of the auditorium for your donations.  We also have a limited supply of baby bottles you can take home to fill up and bring back at the end of the month.
