Ladies…mark your calendars!  The Senior Ladies of New Hope will host their kick-off luncheon of 2020.  The senior ladies are a Treasure of the New Hope family.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy wonderful food and refreshing fellowship plus discover the exciting plans for the future. The luncheon will begin at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. and is held at the church fellowship hall.  You don’t need to bring anything…all the food and beverages will be provided. This event has ended.

Every man must come to grips with the defining moments that have shaped his unique story.  This study will help you understand your past and enjoy God’s best for your future. Join us guys for this study beginning Sunday, September 20, at 5:30 p.m.  This cost is $15 for the study guide.  Registration for this event has ended.

Are you prepared for suffering?  Will trials and persecutions reveal your faith and bring glory to God?  Listen to what Peter says to believers enduring tribulations.  Renee Didlake will lead this 2-hour class on Sunday nights beginning September 20, through November 15.  This cost is $18 for the study guide.  Registration for this event has ended.

Tony will lead this Bible study with a fresh look on the book of Revelation for young adults in their 20’s and 30’s.  Singles or couples are welcome.  Meet at his home at 5:30 p.m. beginning Sunday, September 13, 2020.  Children are also welcome.  Address is 10325 FM 1972, Gilmer, TX. Registration for this event has ended.

When is your next wedding?  Who will be your groom?  For answers to these questions plan now to attend the New Hope Ladies Retreat Friday, September 11-12, 2020.  Come join the fellowship as we enjoy the beautiful facilities at Lakeview Baptist Encampment in Lone Star, TX.  Cost is $50 and will include meals and lodging.  For more information contact the church office.  Registration for this event has ended.

Governor Abbott has issued executive order GA-29 that states, “Every person in Texas shall wear a face covering over the

nose and mouth when inside a commercial entity or other building or space open to the public, or when in an outdoor public

space, wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household;…”

Among the exemptions to this order is exemption number 9 which states:

9. any person who is actively providing or obtaining access to religious worship, but wearing a face covering is strongly encouraged;

In short, a mask or face-covering is not required while at church, but individuals are welcome to wear a mask or face-covering.

We continue to offer social distanced seating in the auditorium as well as two Sunday services – 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Celebrate Independence Day at New Hope on Wednesday, July 1, beginning at 7:00 p.m. with live music, free hot dogs & soda, games for the kids and fun for the whole family.  Fireworks at 9:15.  Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to this community event.

Sunday, June 7, we will return to Sunday school  with a celebration of Promotion Sunday.  Some students will be promoting to the next level Sunday school class.

Students going into 1st grade will promote into Kim Jones’ Beginners Class.
Third graders will promote into Rachael Goldsmith’s Primary Class.
Fifth graders will promote into Ken & Ashley Johnson’s Junior Class.
Seventh graders will promote into the Teen class with Joe Hoing.

All students will meet in the fellowship hall at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, June 7.  Students being promoted will receive a promotion certificate and be introduced to their new class.
